Ok besides the obvious bad beat I took I would also like to point out my pre-flop raise. I did it for two reasons, one I wanted to define my hand and two I wanted to try and win it right there. One and the same….not quiet. You see there had been a lot of pre-flop stealing going on at the time this took place. We had been stealing and re-stealing from each other for a while. When our villain raised it pre-flop, I at first thought he was on a steal and wanted him to lay down his weak hand. By him calling and not re-raising I thought he had Ax and not a high pair. At this point he would have gone all in with AA or KK or QQ but he didn’t. When that Ace high board came out and he checked I knew he had hit his ace and that explains my bet. I wanted to milk him as best I could. His all in surprised me but told me he either had Trip Aces, AT or AK. I doubted strongly the first two but had to include them as possible. That he caught his 3% suck out ….hell that is poker. I have done it, anyone who has played has done it. I am just glad he didn’t shoot out a false ‘sorry’ …..until next time.
